...See more After going through many med changes in a short period of time, I've now been on 100mg sertraline for almost 3 weeks. This I'd the longest I've been on the same dose of the same med in almost two months. My psychiatrist added 10mg buspirone and 0.5mg lorazepam, but neither one seemed to help. She took me off those drugs and started me on 25mg Seroquel twice a day 4 days ago. This is new to me. Will it really help with generalized anxiety disorder? I sure hope so. It's been 4 months of near constant anxiety.

...See more In the past 5 weeks, I've been through 6 med changes, either in the SSRI or the dose being upped or another medication added. This has been so hard. Lots of increased anxiety, panic attacks, physical side effects. One more dose increase to come tomorrow. This is a result of first seeing a psychiatrist in a short term crisis unit, then seeing a nurse practitioner at a mental health center, finally seeing a private practice psychiatrist. Saw her once so far, both med doses upped, upped again tomorrow, I hope for the last time. Anyone have any experience with this or any advice? I see the psychiatrist again in just under two weeks.

...See more After two months of increasing paroxetine from 10 to 20mg, I still have so much anxiety most of every day, plus the side effects that come with the medication. I'm starting to feel that there is no hope that anything will get better. At the end of next week I do see a nurse practitioner for medication help, but who knows if that will even work? My coping strategies don't work as well as they used to because I've been doing them for so long. In another month I can see the therapist. It's been hard to get through this.
