Hi, welcome to 7 Cups. Life is hard, often complicated, but we don't have to suffer alone, we can take someone along with us on this ride, we can seek support to help us get through hard times. I hope you can take the first step.
Let me tell you a little bit about me so that you can gauge if I can be a suitable listener for you. I have personal experience with Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Complicated Grief. So, if you have similar issues, I am comfortable listening to you. I am also LGBTQ+ friendly. I do not judge you based on race, religion, age, gender, sexuality, or sexual practices.
My listening strengths: Depression, Anxiety (Social Anxiety, panic attacks, GAD), Eating Disorder, Loneliness, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, Grief, Chronic Illness, Chronic Pain, Sleep problems, Existential issues, Managing Emotions, OCD, general stuckness in life, self harm, and stress.
I am also familar with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy principles (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Positive Psychology, If you would like to work on your issues using these principles, I can help you explore some of these. I am not a therapist, but I am an avid reader, student and explorer of psychology. I am compassionate, empathic and aspires to support you no matter what you are struggling with. I cannot provide advice for your specific concern, but I can listen to you non-judgmentally.
Chats with me are limited to approximately 1 hour at a time. Regular appointments may be scheduled with me on a case-by-case basis depending on availability.
