There are a few things you may find interesting about me:
1. I'm a born-again Christian. Currently, I'm attending Seminary and have an internship.
2. I'm a freelance writer working part-time from home for a few companies. I'm also working on creating devotionals to share with others and have a blog.
3. I have a few chronic illnesses so I have a service dog to help me.
4. In my spare time I enjoy diamond painting, hanging out with my son, chatting online, and reading (mainly memoirs and historical fiction).

...See more Just wondering if anyone else here has POTS. I'm newly diagnosed and still trying to get use to it. I'm already tired of people staring at me because I look normal and park in the handicap spots and have a service dog (I have a few other invisible illnesses: PTSD, adrenal fatigue and on really bad days back issues). Just wondering if anyone has any tips for a new potsy. Thx

...See more Just a bit of a rant... I'm wondering why I'm having such a hard time breaking into the "addiction recovery" niche. I'm trained, have good references, and I'm available with 5 years sobriety. I'm not sure what more they want but it's rough out there. You wouldn't think this would be true considering how many people are seeking recovery. I seriously don't know what I'm doing wrong.

...See more I hate that I can no longer do the things I use to do. I was asked to run the sound system for a play my church is doing. I went for a few hours last night. I sat most of time but now I can't get out of bed today. I had to tell them I can't help them even though this is something I would have enjoyed doing.

...See more I'm new here and wanted to first take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Bre and I'm a full-time student in Seminary (so yes, I'm a Christian and may talk about it sometimes). I have a chronic illness, mental health issues and deal with chronic pain from fibromyalgia. In my free time, I love to read, do crosswords, and do lots of crafts. I'm going through some changes in my life right now. This is my first semester as a full-time student. It's been interesting and time-consuming so far. I've also chosen to leave behind some chat groups that weren't really helpful - some were creating FOMO. That's one of the reasons I'm here, to chat with others since I'm home 90% of the time due to my health. Just yesterday I found out that my insurance may not pay for my therapist anymore. I really liked her so this is hard to hear since I rarely like a therapist - but who does lol I'm investing in myself because I know I'm worth it - you are too. I'm not letting these things get me down but instead, I'm using them to help me move forward. I look forward to making many new friends along this journey.
