December the 3rd is the UN's International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Theme: "Inclusion Matters: access and empowerment for people of all abilities."


More than one billion people globally – around 15% of the world's population – have some form of disability. Yet the world's largest minority group faces many barriers to inclusion in key aspects of society, including discrimination and stigma.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities, marked on 3 December annually, aims to promote empowerment, inclusion and access to reduce inequalities in society. The day is celebrated internationally to increase public awareness, acceptance and understanding of people with disability.

I love the fact you have put this together Sunshine, my youngest child has a disability, and at times of his life he has struggled but has never given up his fight, he continues every day facing diversity, in our house, it's all about "ability" that matters not "disability" !

Everyone suffers from different forms of disability. Mine are depression and anxiety. Even if it's not a clinical form, anything keeping us from being able is a disability. Which makes December 3rd a day meant for everyone. I pray that any one suffering today, can find solace in knowing they're not alone
